Hear what Patti Sofranko had to say about her involvement in NYAEYC!
Most Rewarding Chapter Event
“One of our most rewarding events is our chapter spring conference. It is an opportunity to bring bigger name experts to our local child care community. It is an event that we may see member that one time a year because they always plan to attend as the event is both informational and fun. This year we had Red Grammer who was informative, entertaining and gracious.”
What is the most valuable part of being a member of NYAEYC?
“One of the most valuable parts of being a NYAEYC member is the amount of information you have access to. I also have the comprehensive membership and always bring the member benefit books to any professional development and leave them on my desk for student teachers to look at. When working with directors, I always recommend joining so that they have access to Hello @NAEYC where real problems and situations are discussed. I make it part of my morning routine!”
Thoughts about being a NYAEYC member
“Being a NYAEYC member gives me the opportunity to connect with other professionals in the area and provides me with more information to pass on in my work with the seasoned or budding child care work force. It also gives me an opportunity to support and provide experiences in a collaborative effort.”
